Best Places To Visit In Ibiza In Summer

My guide to the best places to eat, drink, party and chill out in Ibiza in 2023.

Summers are always busy in Ibiza, but this one seems bigger than ever! The island has always been a fave holiday spot of mine. It’s such a special place – I’ve been 4 times, and still have that real urge to return again and again.

While July and August are fun months to visit, they’re also notoriously busy. You might find it hard to book tables at the island’s top restaurants or find a room available in Ibiza’s hotels.

If you get the chance, I’d recommend visiting Ibiza in September. The crowds disperse a little, but the club nights are still great. Prices are reduced a little too, so you’ll have more spending money out there.

So whether you’re heading over for a week of partying, looking for some chilled options or simply want to know where’s good to eat and drink, I’ve picked the best places to visit in Ibiza. Be warned though… after reading this, you might find yourself looking for a last minute flight and booking your next escapade!

Where to stay in Ibiza in September

Aguas De Ibiza is one of the top spa hotels on the island. Worlds away from party towns San Antonio and Playa D’en Bossa, this hotel is located in the chilled out beach town of Santa Eulalia. It’s the perfect option for those looking for a relaxing break. The sophisticated hotel features three outdoor pools, beautiful gardens, gourmet restaurants, a rooftop cocktail bar, and some of the rooms even have hot tubs on their balconies! One of the biggest reasons to visit though – the dreamy spa. The only problem? You may never want to leave.

If you’re looking for peace and privacy, consider a private villa rental in Ibiza. You’ll have the flexibility to self-cater or go out for meals as you please, plus many of the island’s villas are seriously plush

For another stunning place to stay, eat and drink, check out Hostal La Torre. Just a few km north of San Antonio, the hotel sits in a stunning secluded spot and is in the perfect place to catch one of the island’s famous sunsets. For anyone looking to get in shape, they also run retreats in the Autumn, or if that’s the last thing on your mind… check out their delicious tapas menu!

Where to eat in Ibiza in September

Looking for paella in Ibiza? Sa Caleta‘s just can’t be beaten! The beach is always busy in high season, so when the crowds die down in September, that’s the perfect time to visit! Plus, if you’re fancying a whole afternoon of relaxation, there’s a lovely shady garden where you can enjoy massages and cocktails.

Despite being out of the way in San Lorenzo (a tiny village in the middle of Ibiza), La Paloma is one of those places that it’s almost impossible to get a table at in high season. Head there in September to enjoy delicious Mediterranean food with plenty of healthy and vegetarian options. Think homemade focaccia, salads topped with wild flowers and delicious quiches!

For delicious asian food, head to Fay at Cotton Beach Club overlooking the beach in Cala Tarida. Along with a sushi menu to die for, they offer fresh oysters, tasty Thai curries, ceviche, Peking duck and black tea sea bass.

Best Beach Clubs and Nightclubs To Visit In Ibiza in September

Every Tuesday in September, guys and girls across the island will be glamming for the Kisstory pool parties at Ocean Beach Ibiza. With delicious cocktails, sushi and top Kiss DJs including Justin Wilkes providing the music, it’s a great place for a daytime party and a spot of people watching!

It’s hard to pick which night I’d like to go to most at Ushuaia in September, but over the month, the coolest outdoor music venue is playing host to Tinie Tempah, Armin Van Buuren, Solomun and Nervo. If you’ve got a bit of cash to splash, book into one of the stunning hotel rooms on site, and have a dance on your balcony overlooking the action.

David Guetta’s F*** Me I’m Famous night at Pacha continues to be one of the biggest on the clubbing calendar in September. The good news – some of the biggest names in music right now are hitting the decks alongside him including Robin Schulz, Sam Feldt, Felix Jaehn and Bakermat.

As a massive garage fan growing up, I was SO excited by Craig David’s recent comeback. I managed to catch him at Hideout Festival in Croatia last month, and in September he’ll be taking his TS5 Pool Party to Ibiza Rocks!

Beaches

When it comes to beaches, forget looking for a patch of sand in San Antonio or Playa D’en Bossa and head north to Es Portitxol instead. Yes, you’ll need to make your way down a very rickety path, but it’s totally worth it when you see the bright turquoise water. It’s also where you’ll find some of the island’s fishermen hanging out, so perhaps you can pick up something fresh for a BBQ dinner?
