Ahead of my travels, it’s time to share a few incredible places to visit in Indonesia, including Borobudur, Raja Ampat and the Gili Islands.
So this year has been intense! A lot of travel, not a lot of time at home, and plenty of exciting opportunities. From travelling around South America visiting geysers, salt flats and volcanoes, to making a video in Croatia for Lonely Planet, there are waaaay too many highlights to list them all here.
But coming up is a trip I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. I’m FINALLY heading to Asia! I’ll be touring Indonesia with Wonderful Indonesia (the tourist board) and it looks like the itinerary has it all – history, culture, art, beaches, landscapes and what’s more, I get to travel with some of my best friends! So, it’s time to find out a bit more about what I’ll be getting up to over the next month.
Borobudur
We’ll be visiting the world’s largest Buddhist temple Borobudur. It looks incredible! The UNESCO World Heritage Site dates back to the 9th century and is surrounded by majestic mountains,
Yogyakarta
We’ll also be checking out Prambanan – a collection of massive Hindu temples near the city of Yogyakarta. After learning all about the history we’ll enjoy a ballet performance featuring over 200 dancers and musicians in the open-air theatre inside the park!
