I’ve just got back from an incredible four days exploring some of the most historic English cities. I’m not talking about a few hundred years of history here… these cities have buildings dating back over 1,000 years. They’ve got archways from the 3rd century, walls built by the Romans and castles dating back to the last millennium.

REVIEW: Winter Garden Restaurant At The Landmark Hotel, London

Winter Garden Restaurant, Landmark Hotel, London

Time for a very special dinner at one of London’s most spectacular 5-star hotels. Prepare to be dazzled by the stunning Winter Garden Restaurant at The Landmark.

There aren’t many restaurants in Central London like The Landmark’s Winter Garden. With giant palm trees and a feeling of the outdoors, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to a beautiful hacienda somewhere a lot warmer than London in December!

The occasion? A special one! Our three-year anniversary. I knew this would be a beautifully romantic spot, perfect for a celebration like this!

Walking into the 5-Star Landmark Hotel is something magical in itself. As I walked through the double doors on Marylebone Road and up a smart staircase, I was greeted by THAT view. The palm trees, the glittery lights, the floors and floors above, topped with a glass atrium way up in the sky.

The unique restaurant is smart and sophisticated, especially with the sounds of a live pianist from the terrace area above. We settled at our table at the edge of the restaurant, facing the beautiful view, and started to peruse the menu

REVIEW: A Relaxing Break At Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa

Exploring the gardens at Luton Hoo

From delicious food and cocktails in one of England’s most impressive mansion houses, to relaxing in the spa, it’s time for an overnight stay at Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa.

I’m currently recovering from one of the busiest weeks in the travel industry calendar. Every year I spend three days trekking to the ExCel Centre in East London for World Travel Market. To be honest, the journey from my home in West London is enough to exhaust me, but add in back-to-back meetings, talks, and evening events, and I’m just about ready to fall over by day three!

So, this year I decided to approach the week slightly differently. The weekend before the big week, I treated myself to a bit of R&R. I hopped in the car with one of my best friends and we headed to 5* Luton Hoo, part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

Over the next 24-hours we’d enjoy relaxation and treatments in the spa, cocktails in the lounge and a 3-course dinner at the AA Rosette Wernher Restaurant. I couldn’t imagine anything better!
