Infinity pools, beautiful beaches and romantic resorts. Say hello to the best honeymoon hotels in Bali for 2020.
Bali often tops the lists of dream destinations for honeymoons, and for good reason! White sandy beaches, iconic rice terraces and mysterious jungles – it’s exotic and has a real air of romance about it. There are also plenty of gorgeous five-star romantic hotels in Bali, yet the island still retains some of the authenticity and culture that makes it special.
When I explored Bali, I fell in love with its mix of adventure and relaxation. You can spend the morning exploring the island on mopeds, then chill out on the beach or enjoy a massage in the afternoon.
If you’re planning your dream honeymoon, you could mix it up a bit! Perhaps enjoy a chilled out holiday in one of the beachside resorts, experience zen-style relaxation in Ubud or explore the party scene in Seminyak and Canggu. No matter what you’ve got planned for your honeymoon, this comprehensive guide features the best honeymoon hotels in Bali.
Ubud Honeymoon Hotels

The Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan is one of the top hotels in the world. The beauty of the rice paddies will blow you away from the moment you cross the hotel’s famous sky-bridge. A glowing infinity pool appears to drop right into the river. Seriously, this place has romance written all over it – perfect for a honeymoon in Bali!
The hotel’s romantic villas feature private terraces with tropical forest views and a glimpse of the Ayung river valley. It’s close enough to Ubud’s attractions, including the Monkey Forest, so you’ll never be bored, yet it feels private and away from Ubud’s hectic day to day life.
Located on the outskirts of Ubud, Adiwana Dara Ayu Villas offers panoramic views of mountains, rice paddies, and hills. It features a cluster of adults-only eco-friendly romantic villas and suites. Each villa has an outdoor bathroom with a sunken stone bathtub as well as a private hot tub. What could be more romantic for your honeymoon?
It’s also worth noting, that compared to some of the others, this resort offers smart accommodation at a more affordable price.
Seminyak Honeymoon Hotels
Located on Seminyak beach, W Bali – Seminyak is a perfect place to watch magical sunsets over the Indian Ocean. Seminyak is a real holiday hub in Bali. It’s busy and bustling home to some of the best dining and nightlife on the island – great if you like a mix of time in the resort, and time exploring.
The resort features contemporary and luxurious rooms with the W’s signature cheeky style. Along with plush rooms, there are several private villas with pools – perfect for a romantic honeymoon in Bali.
Double – Six is one of the hottest hotels in Bali and home to a stylish rooftop bar – one of THE sunset spots in Seminyak. There are five restaurants and bars, and while the hotel doesn’t boast the private villas that some hotels in Bali have, this one has plenty of luxurious suites – perfect for a Bali honeymoon! It’s also got the town of Seminyak on the doorstop, with its chic dining options, vibrant beach bars, and nightlife.
Bali Beach Resorts – Honeymoon Hotels
Ametis Villa in Canggu is the sweetest little hideaway and the perfect beach hotel from which you can explore the island of Bali at a relaxed pace. Newlyweds will be assigned a personal butler, who will ensure you have a comfortable stay. Couples can sunbathe and surf on Canggu Beach, which is just 5 minutes away from the hotel.
The villas have private swimming pools, plus there’s Ruby Spa which offers a customised programme of treatments and wellness options. If you’re a foodie, you’ll love Eternal Restaurant, which serves lndonesian dishes using ingredients from the hotel’s gardens along with fresh seafood from Jimbaran Bay market.
The St. Regis Bali Resort is located directly on the beachfront in Nusa Dua. There are plenty of private pool villas at the hotel, which offer direct access to the beach. The decor is super luxurious and the views are stunning, so it is a great honeymoon hotel in Bali.
You’ll have your own personal butler who can arrange activities including dolphin watching at dawn, diving, and snorkelling. There are four restaurants at the beach resort, including Kayuputi Restaurant which specialises in seafood and Boneka Restaurant with its European menu. It’s one of the top Bali honeymoon resorts for a reason!
What a dreamy resort on the edge of Jimbaran Bay! The Four Seasons Resort Bali is as romantic as it gets. Honeymooners can enjoy dinner in the bale, a Balinese-style pergola, next to an infinity pool. Each luxurious villa offers spacious living areas, lush gardens and a private pool.
Honeymooners should also check out the Spa Village which offers Balinese massages, pearl and jasmine scrubs, and a range of holistic offerings.
Kejora Suites is an all-suite boutique hotel located by the beach in the heart of Sanur. Tastefully designed, this romantic hotel features an elegant infinity pool surrounded by sun-loungers. Each room features a stunning private pool and tree top garden views.
Couples can enjoy watching sunrises and sunsets at Sanur beach and exploring the local markets. Compared to some of the pricey options on this list, this resort is an absolute gem for the price.
Kuta is one of the less glam regions of Bali in my opinion, as it’s where a lot of Aussies go on gap years and cheap package holidays. Don’t let that put you off though as this hotel is stunning! The Anvaya Beach Resort Bali is home to a mix of rooms, suites and private villas.
The hotel boasts large swimming pools, landscaped tropical gardens and a private beach. There’s a spa, plus several dining options including Kunyit Restaurant, which serves tradirional Indonesian cuisine and Sand & Wine Cellar, which serves up tapas-style dishes.
West Bali National Park
If you’re looking for something a bit different, check out Mimpi Resort Menjangan. It’s the perfect hotel to connect with nature, as it’s only 5 minutes from West Bali National Park. This part of Bali is less popular with tourists, which if you’re craving a real escape from it all, could be perfect!
You can rent bicycles to explore the area’s natural wonders, experience some of Bali’s best diving or relax with yoga or a spa treatment. This is also only resort in Bali that offers therapeutic hot springs, making the honeymoon experience extra special.
