From white water rafting, volcano hikes and quad biking, to cooking classes, nature tours, cultural activities and jungle swings, you’re guaranteed to love these Ubud tours!
I fell in love with Bali when I visited a while back. After a mammoth adventure around Indonesia, it was the place where I finally had some time to relax. The highlight for me was the jungle town of Ubud.
I love that it ticks so many boxes… Whether you fancy a relaxing break, an adventure trip, or a bit of both, there really is something for everyone. I used it as a jumping off point to explore waterfalls, hike a volcano and soak up the culture and cuisine on the island. It was a great base.
So if you’re looking for things to do in Ubud and beyond, I’ve popped together a handy guide to some of the best tour packages, attractions and activities. There zero chance of you getting bored!
Please note, all of these will pick up from Ubud hotels, and some offer transfers from other parts of the island too (check first!)

Mount Batur Volcano Hike
Without a doubt, one of the best things I did during my trip to Bali was this volcano hike up Mount Batur. After being picked up sometime after 2am, you’ll drive to the base of the volcano, where a guide will lead the way. The aim is to reach the summit for sunrise, and I can honestly say it was one of the best things I’ve ever done while travelling – but it’s also one of the most challenging!
The steep incline and darkness make it both physically and mentally draining, but once I saw sunrise it was all worth it. Oh and the way down was much easier! The tour I did included transfers, a guide, breakfast and a trip to the hot springs afterwards. Read my blog post all about the Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking.

Raja Ampat, Indonesia – An Unforgettable Holiday Moment
If you had to pick one special moment from your holidays, what would you pick and why? When I was asked this question recently, one place instantly popped into my mind.
Raja Ampat isn’t like anywhere else on the planet. Located, off the coast of West Papua (the Indonesian part of Papua New Guinea), it’s a region that’s tricky to reach, and as a result, totally untouristy. It’s raw and rugged, and home to the most biodiverse waters in the world. I wondered whether there was more going on under the water than above it?
Before my trip, I went into a Google frenzy, finding so many incredible photos of the region’s paradise islands, emerald green waters and a magical underwater world of fish, sharks and more. Of all the places I’d visit in Indonesia, this was the one I was most excited about!
