Are you looking for colourful baby clothes brands in the UK? From Toby Tiger and Frugi, to smaller brands you might not know yet, this guide has you covered!
Out with the neutrals. Banish beige. It’s time to create a splash with your choice of baby clothes. No longer do we have to dress our precious little ones in whites and creams, we can finally opt for rainbow shades all day long! And I, for one, am very happy about it!
When I found out we were having a little boy, I had a brief moment of sadness about his future wardrobe. I always thought clothes for baby boys were pale blues and teddy bear browns. As a mum-to-be who adores a pop of colour, I started my search for items that would stand out from the crowd.
I went on a shopping spree and discovered several amazing brands in the UK, that also see the world in rainbow shades. These brands create high-quality products from gorgeous materials, and they have ethical production techniques too.
If you’re a new mama shopping for your newborn, or you’re looking for a special gift for friends or family, my guide to the most colourful baby clothes brands will definitely inspire you.

Fun And Colourful Baby Clothes Brands In The UK
Toby Tiger
As soon as I locked eyes on a few items on the Toby Tiger website, I was in love! This brand’s baby and kids clothing has a huge sense of fun. Everything is bright and cheerful, and features animals, rainbows, and other bold applique designs.
Some of the first items I got for Cooper were from this brand. I loved the nautical range, with its lighthouses, boats and sea creatures. The items are made from a soft organic cotton, with dyes that are kind to the earth and your little ones’ skin.
The Toby Tiger collection goes from 0 – 8 years old and includes lots of fun seasonal items. Keep checking the site for Christmas, Halloween and spring items!
Frugi
If you want your kid to see the world in technicolour from the day they arrive, then dress them in Frugi. This is one of the UK’s most popular and well-loved baby brands. Items are made from soft organic cotton. The baby grows and sleepsuits are adorable, featuring rainbow prints, florals and cute animals.
I particularly love the baby gift sets, which include several items with the same motif. I also appreciate that Frugi’s baby grows and sleepsuits have zips. No one wants to be fumbling around with all those poppers!
Frugi’s clothing covers the baby years right up until the age of 12, so your kid can keep that fun pop of colour as they grow.
Blade & Rose
I wasn’t aware of Blade and Rose before we had Cooper, but it wasn’t long before I was spotting this brand’s playful leggings at baby groups, soft play and playgrounds! The signature leggings come in a really entertaining range of colours and designs, and most feature a fun motif on the bum! In fact, I just spotted a pair with a big Halloween pumpkin on the back!
They’re stretchy and comfortable, ideal for when your baby starts to move around. The leggings are really reasonable too in my opinion. Blade and Rose make a range of other items for little ones too, including t-shirts, hats and waterproofs. Some items go up to the age of 6, so the fun doesn’t need to stop when they start toddling!
Kite Clothing
Looking for lovely baby clothes that combine style with sustainability? Kite Clothing have a gorgeous range of colourful prints on their sleepsuits, sleeping bags, bodysuits and muslins. Lots of the ranges feature birds and animals, such as puffins, snails and elephants.
There are also some comfortable leggings in a similar style to Blade & Rose, with fun motifs on the back. With organic cotton as the main fabric, this is an ideal brand to choose if you’re looking for eco-friendly options which don’t compromise on style.
Kite’s clothing runs from 0 all the way to age 13. Plus, as a little extra there’s a whole women’s range too. One of my favourite features is the “twinning” range, where us mums can buy items to match our little one’s outfit.
Ducky Zebra
I adore the Ducky Zebra’s ethos. They’re all about kids being kids, and not being stereotyped. The playful designs are gender-neutral and feature bold and colourful prints. There’s no pink for girls and blue for boys! At Ducky Zebra, anything goes. The items are beautifully made, using organic cotton.
There’s a wide range of fun prints and styles, from bodysuits and rompers to hoodies and dungarees. I’m a big fan of the zip-up sleepsuits – anything to avoid endless poppers! The brand offers items from 0 up to 6 years old, so if you’re looking for items for the start of school too, definitely take a look at the website.
Piccalilly
With bold and beautiful designs made from soft organic cotton, Piccalilly’s baby clothes are some of the most cheerful and unique around. I adore the range of prints, which include everything from bees and polar bears, to robots and London landmarks.
This brand has an amazing ethos, ensuring items are made ethically using fair-trade principles. They even offer ‘upcycled’ items, which are produced using surplus fabric which would have been wasted.
The range spans from 0 to age 10. Plus, as an extra incentive, there’s are some options for adults too, so you can twin with your little bubba!
Little Green Radicals
Known for its commitment to ethical sourcing and use of 100% organic cotton, this brand creates vibrant baby clothes that are soft and comfortable, while being sustainable for the planet. The baby clothes are so adorable!
You’ll find a vibrant range of items, including bodysuits, baby grows, knitwear, dungarees. There are even wellington boots made from ‘fair rubber’ as they call it! The design with clouds on is my favourite!
The snowsuits and waterproof suits are absolutely gorgeous too. As with all the brands I’m sharing with you, Little Green Radicals has a really fun range of prints, drawn from nature. Clothing goes from 0 – age 10, and there’s often a great selection in the sale and outlet on the website, so take a look there if you’re shopping on a budget.
Lottie & Lysh
If you’re looking for vibrant prints for your little babes, but with a cooler, edgier twist, definitely take a look at Lottie & Lysh. Rather than rainbow brights with applique animals, this brand has a quirky range of fabric prints featuring Aztec lions, retro 70s style flowers and a very 90s sun, moon and stars!
I really like the Lottie & Lysh jackets, which have colourful linings. Some even have playful bunny ears!
The range runs from newborn to age 10, and there are a few items for adults too. This is another lovely UK-based brand with sustainability at its heart. You’ll find lots of silky soft organic cotton, materials are sourced from environmentally conscious, family-run print houses and all the packaging is sustainable too. This brand has a website, but you’ll find some items on Etsy too.
Eddie and Bee
The founder of this colourful kids brand started her career in fashion by training to be a womenswear designer at Central Saint Martins. After having her two kids, she pivoted into the world of childrenswear. Eddie and Bee is a sustainable, ethical, UK-produced kids fashion brand, with vibrant prints and gorgeously soft organic cotton.
You’ll find a range of baby clothes, from sleepsuits and hats, to bibs and vests. I love the prints, which are colourful but have a slightly grown-up edge too. You’ll know what I mean when you take a look at the clementine sleepsuit, beetroot bib and the eye-catching carrot leggings!
I’m also a big fan of this brand’s reversible fleecy gilets. Choose your print and it’ll be handmade to order. What a personal touch. This is a small brand making lovely items for your little ones, so definitely take a look.
Some items go up to age 7, so you can continue your journey with the brand as your little one grows. Oh, and don’t miss the range of adult leggings too. You’ll be twinning with your kid before you know it!
Kidly
Kidly is one of the biggest brands on this list. I see it all over social media. The website sells a lot of items, from newborn baby clothing right up to the age of 7. It also stocks everything else you need as a modern parent, including toys, high chairs, activities and more. While Kidly sells lots of brands you may be familiar with, you’ll also find their own brand of Kidly label clothing.
For babies and toddlers, you’ll find high-quality separates in block colours, made from really soft and long-lasting fabrics. Whether you’re shopping for jumpsuits, t-shirts, leggings, soft cardigans or sherpa leggings, there’s plenty to love!
I hope you’ve enjoyed diving into the world of colourful baby clothes with me. While I usually focus on travel content and family travel, I love writing about other topics I’m passionate about. Plus, this way my little boy can look stylish wherever we are in the world!
